I recently returned from overseas some four years ago where my family lived for twenty years in Sydney. I worked for a number of multi-national companies with regional offices in Australia and through out the Pacific Rim.
I have been involved with the Information Technology sector have had many years of experience in the manufacturing arena.
I attended Victoria University and studied Law and Business Administration. My family / whanau is from the Ngati Wehiwehi marae located on State Highway One in Manakau. I am the grandson of Mick Gardiner and great grandson of Taru Gardiner. Taru Gardiner was a member of the Otaki Maori Racing Club for many years. I also whakapapa to the Gray and Winterburn whanau at Tainui marae in Otaki.
I have four children and about to have a grandson very shortly. I am the National Secretary of the NZ Maori Golf Association as well as on the Board of Trustees at Otaki College.
I spend time on the Information Technology Board of Te Wananga-o-Raukawa as a kaiawhina and provide guidance and direction with special emphasis toward Web / Internet based solutions for Distance Learning requirements.
I also give time to the Te Runanga o Raukawa who help to promote wealth for our iwi.
